James Taylor has been appointed as a full-time Independent Selector of the England Cricket Team.

 

LONDON (Monitoring Desk) Ex-England cricketer James Taylor was appointed the full-time Independent Selector of the National Men’s team. Taylor will work together with National Selector Ed Smith.

Both selectors will make Test, One Day and T Twenty20 teams, making a three-member panel with head Coach Trevor Bayliss.

Taylor at the age of  28, was diagnosed with heart disease in 2016. Shortly after which he had said goodbye to international cricket. However, now he will perform duties as a selector of England. He has the honor of representing the country in the 7 Test and 27 one-day international cricket matches.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed James Taylor’s appointment as an Independent Selector and said he was a talented cricketer. And their advice will be helpful in improving team performance.

It is a very important responsibility, will be trying to meet the expectations of officials and I’m excited to work again with the team.
