The government has decided to review the Corona SOPs in consultation with the Ulema. President Dr. Arif Alvi today convened a video conference of Governors and Ulema of the four provinces to review the Corona SOPs.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar along with Ulema, Federal Minister for Home Affairs Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Shah, and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will also attend the conference.

Azad Kashmir President Masood Khan and Gilgit-Baltistan Governor are also expected to attend the video conference.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said in this regard that the government will decide the SOPs only after consultation with the Ulema. The government will fix the SOPs, the government will take the Ulema along to save from Corona.

He said that all sections should fulfill their responsibility to protect from Corona, PDM should also give up the stubbornness of rallies and save the people from Corona.

It may be recalled that even during the first wave of Corona in Pakistan, the government, in consultation with the Ulema and Mashaikhs, had set up SOPs, leaving gaps between the worshipers and the rows in the mosques, with worshipers coming to the mosques wearing masks. And sanitizers were also placed in mosques.
