Shakargarh: The first anniversary of the Kartarpur Corridor will be celebrated in a grand manner. On November 7 and 9, Baba Guru Nanak’s Life Seminar and other events will be held.
According to details, on the occasion of the first anniversary of Kartarpur Corridor, Secretary-General of Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Amir Singh said in a message that the first anniversary of Kartarpur Corridor will be celebrated with great ceremony. On November 7 and 9, Baba Guru Nanak’s Life Seminar, other events will be held.
It may be recalled that on November 9 last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Kartarpur Corridor. On this occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he is very happy to open the corridor. He hoped that this is just the beginning. Inshallah relations with India will be good, Kashmiris will get rights then prosperity will come to the subcontinent as well.
International media gave full coverage to the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, the German agency wrote that a new open point has been inaugurated on the border between Pakistan and India, which will allow Indian Sikhs to visit their religious sites in Pakistan without a visa.
The British Broadcasting Corporation wrote that the way to an important Sikh holy place has finally been opened, an agreement was reached between the two countries in October to fulfill this long-standing wish of the Sikhs.
The Russian News Agency said that the Sikh community is happy about the opening of the corridor for visiting holy places in Pakistan for the first time. Al Jazeera wrote that Indian Sikhs have started their journey towards Pakistan which has started under a historic agreement between the two countries.
