LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed an income tax of Rs 58 million on singer Atif Aslam.

According to sources, the FBR audited the singer’s income tax for 2018 and imposed the tax. A spokesman for the FBR said that Atif Aslam had not disclosed his flats in Dubai in his statements.
FBR has obtained details of Atif Aslam’s accounts and assets. Lahore FBR has issued notice to singer Atif Aslam by imposing tax on him.
Earlier, Pakistani actor and chocolate hero Fawad Khan also came on the FBR’s radar.
Fawad Khan showed an income of 11.7 million abroad. The FBR had started an investigation and asked the FIA for a five-year travel history of the film star.
