KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said in his statement that there will be no winter holidays in the educational institutions of Sindh. Due to coronavirus, many holidays have already taken place.

The Education Minister said that there is no possibility of winter vacation at present, winter vacation is not included in the steering committee schedule, further discussion will be held at the NCOC meeting at the end of November.

A meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood yesterday proposed winter holidays in educational institutions from November to January in view of the increase in corona cases.

At the meeting, the education ministers opposed the closure of schools, sources said, adding that another meeting would be held next week on November 23 to review the situation.

Shafqat Mahmood had said that corona cases in educational institutions have reached at dangerous levels, the lives of children and teachers are most dear.

Prime Minister allowed advance booking of corona vaccine

Later, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he would take a decision next week after reviewing the educational institutions. If the Corona cases increase, he will reduce the summer vacations in the educational institutions and extend the winter.
