ISLAMABAD: Security is on high alert in Islamabad after the Peshawar blast.

According to details, security was tightened in Islamabad after the blast at a madrassa in the Dir Colony area of ​​Peshawar. IG Islamabad has issued instructions to tighten the checkpoints on internal and external routes.

IG Islamabad said that security of other government and non-government buildings including red zone should be tightened, DIG operations and other officers should check the duty themselves and visit imambargahs, religious madrassas and review security.

On the other hand, IG Punjab, while ordering high security alert in the wake of Peshawar blast, said that security of sensitive places, places of worship and public places should be enhanced.

Inam Ghani said that other officers including DPOs should review the security arrangements and search operations in all districts should be intensified.

Seven people were martyred and more than 112 were injured in an explosion at a madrassa in Dir Colony area of ​​Peshawar. The blast was so powerful that the entire building shook.

An investigation into the Peshawar madrassa blast is underway, according to police. The blast was carried out using a time device, which contained five to six kilograms of explosives, while AIG Bomb Disposal said the blast appeared to be the work of an organized group.

On the other hand, IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sanaullah Abbasi has said that an investigation into the Peshawar blast is underway. He could not share information. CTD has identified 36 people.
