ISLAMABAD: Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. The Prime Minister will address the summit via video link.

According to details, the SCO summit will be held on November 10 in Russia. Russian President Putin invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to attend the meeting.

Sources said that Russia will host the summit and member countries including Pakistan and China will attend the meeting, Chinese President Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be part of the meeting while Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the summit via video link.

According to sources, due to the second wave of Corona, the meeting will be held in a virtual manner.

SCO will focus on key issues including the corona, Afghan issue, and terrorism, while human and drug trafficking organized cybercrime will also be discussed.

Sources said that four observer countries Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia will also participate while the negotiating partners of the organization Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Turkey are also expected to participate.
