KABUL: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reached the Afghan capital Kabul on a one-day visit.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has visited Afghanistan for the first time since taking over as Prime Minister. On his arrival in Kabul, he was received at the airport by Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar.

According to the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for Kabul with a high-level delegation comprising Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood, and Special Representative for Afghanistan Muhammad. Sadiq and other senior officials are also included.

During his visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to discuss bilateral relations, the Afghan peace process, trade and economic cooperation.
