LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani has ordered to remove obstacles from the routes leading to PDM Multan Jalsa Gah after which the containers are being removed.

According to details, sources said that the process of removing the containers was started after the order of IG Punjab Inam Ghani to remove obstacles from the routes leading to Multan Jalsa Gah, the decision was taken after mutual consultation with higher authorities.

Containers were removed from Chowk Maitla following the directive of IG Punjab. After removing the containers and all obstacles, the road was fully opened, while containers are being lifted from other routes as well.

It may be recalled that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced to hold a rally at Qasim Bagh Stadium today.

In view of which the concerned administration closed the roads leading to the jalsa gah (meeting place), the routes of Ghanta Ghar Chowk were also sealed by erecting barriers but the obstructions are being removed on the orders of IG.

Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat clarified that the PDM meeting would be a violation of SOPs which are not tolerated, no one can be allowed to take the law into their own hands.

He warned that an immediate arrest warrant has been issued for the perpetrator.
