ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has rejected India’s statement on Gilgit-Baltistan, by saying that India has no legal, moral or historical justification for Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to details, the Foreign Office spokesperson while rejecting the statement of the Indian Foreign Ministry regarding Gilgit-Baltistan said that India has no legal, moral or historical justification regarding Gilgit-Baltistan.
The spokesperson said that India has been illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir for 73 years and the baseless claims of India cannot divert attention from the real situation.
The Foreign Office said that Pakistan’s position on Jammu and Kashmir is in line with UN resolutions, adding that the solution to the Occupied Kashmir dispute is to give Kashmiris the right to self-determination.
The spokesperson demanded that India fulfill its global responsibility by giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions. Political, administrative, and economic reforms are the demands of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Earlier, Pakistan had rejected the Indian Prime Minister’s statement regarding the Pulwama attack, saying that India had failed to provide evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pulwama attack.
The spokesman clarified that there was an attempt to give a new twist to the statement of a federal minister, the Pakistani minister had spoken as a reference, citing the response given by the Pakistan Army on February 26, 2019.
The Foreign Office spokesperson had said that after the anti-Pakistan election campaign, the BJP won the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP government should stop dragging the Pakistani government into India’s local politics, the BJP leadership should win the support of the people by perofrming instead of anti-Pakistan sentiments.
