ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Javed has said that more than 100 million dollars have been deposited in Roshan Digital Accounts by 44,000 Pakistanis from abroad so far.
According to the details, Senator Faisal Javed in his statement on the social networking website Twitter said that 101 million dollars has been deposited in Roshan digital accounts, Pakistanis abroad have opened 44,000 accounts so far.
Faisal Javed said that 53 million has been invested in New Pakistan Certificates. Great response to the initiatives of the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank.

Yesterday, SBP Governor Dr. Raza Baqir said that Pakistanis abroad have deposited Rs. 16 billion in Roshan digital account so far. Since the launch, Rs. $100 million has been deposited in Roshan digital accounts so far. Seven hundred bright digital accounts are being opened, with a daily receipt of two million dollars.
It may be recalled that on November 12, Prime Minister Imran Khan had issued New Pakistan Certificates for Pakistanis Abroad. 7% interest in dollars and 11% interest in Pakistani Rupees will be provided. According to Shariah principles and rules, Islamic certificates will be valid for a period of 3 months to 5 years.
Senator Faisal Javed had said that capital could be withdrawn even before the set-out period, there would be no NRPs and no tax filing would be required, only 10% holding tax would be charged on net profit.
