President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan and Several political leaders strongly condemned the Peshawar blast.
At least seven people were martyred and more than 112 others were injured in a blast at a madrassa on Kohat Road in Dir Colony area of Peshawar this morning.
President Dr. Arif Alvi strongly condemned the blast in the madrassa and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Dr. Arif Alvi said that may Allah Almighty raise the ranks of martyrs and Sabar Jameel to the bereaved.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also strongly condemned the blast, expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.
Interior Minister Ejaz Ahmad Shah has said that attack on children is a cowardly act, we are indebted to the sacrifice of our children, those involved in the blast will be made a warning sign.
Terrorists have no religion, they are monsters: Bilawal Bhutto
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the blast and said that those who targeted innocent civilians have no religion, they are monsters, terrorists cannot shake the determination of the Pakistani nation.
Expressing sympathy and solidarity with the families of those martyred in the blast, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that better treatment should be ensured for the injured.
Those responsible for the incident will not be able to escape the grip of law: Chief Minister KP
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast and said that those responsible for the incident would not be able to escape from the grip of law.
Ordering the police to investigate all aspects of the incident, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that targeting innocent children was a highly reprehensible and cruel act.
Expressing sympathy to the affected families, the Chief Minister directed the management of the hospitals to provide best medical aid to the injured.
On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar have also condemned the Peshawar blast.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan has also announced a relief package for the victims of the blast at a madrassa and the families of the martyrs.
According to details, Chief Minister KP Mehmood Khan has announced a package for the victims of the blast and the families of the martyrs, under which the families of the martyrs will be given Rs 500,000 while the injured will be given Rs 200,000.
Mehmood Khan said that the government is standing with victims of the Peshawar blast families, the peace process will not be allowed to sabotage, the terrorists involved in the incident will be traced soon.
It may be recalled that 7 children were martyred and 112 injured in an explosion at a Peshawar madrassa this morning. Police said that an IED exploded at the madrassa and most of the injured were children.
At a madrassa in the Dir Colony area of Peshawar, around 8 am, when the children were studying and the teacher had just started teaching the Qur’an on a microphone, there was a sudden explosion, there was a terrible fire everywhere and the walls shook with the screams of the injured.
