ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that the situation regarding Corona is still at a stage where it could reach dangerous levels if timely decisions are not taken.

Regarding the increasing rate of coronavirus cases in Pakistan, Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the implementation of SOPs needs to be more strict.

” In the NCOC meeting today important suggestions will be put forward.”

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) has considered additional measures to curb the growing number of corona cases.

Asad Umar said that suggestions for additional measures to curb the growing number of corona cases would be tabled at the NCOC meeting today.

The federal minister said immediate steps are needed to be taken to curb the spread of the epidemic without affecting economic activity.

Current corona situation in Pakistan

Due to the second wave of coronavirus cases are on the rise in Pakistan, which has so far infected more than 335,000 people across the country and killed more than 6,800 people.
